The Spring cleaning season is here and its time. Declutter those closets, garages and storage units and allow your items to be repurposed by donating them to a local thrift store.

We’ve rounded up 7 donation sites to drop your items off at as you tidy up this spring.

1. Downtown Rescue Mission

Downtown Rescue Mission serves as a shelter, soup kitchen, clinic and thrift store. Your gently used items will be available to residents at no cost. With six locations around the Huntsville area, the drive may be closer than you think.

2. Thrift Mart

From your unused yard tools to fashion pieces, this donation site accepts it all. Thrift Mart offers big discounts for its shoppers, especially around the holidays.

3. Everyday Sunshine

While accepting all of your household goods, the proceeds from the Everyday Sunshine thrift store go back to its nonprofit, which provides jobs and skills to adults and teens with disabilities.

4. The Saving Way

The Saving Way has been serving Huntsville since 2010 and supports His Way Recovery Center through proceeds and job opportunities. With multiple Huntsville locations to choose from, this is a one-stop shop for all your unwanted items.

5. Neighborhood Store

From fabrics to furniture, the Neighborhood Thrift store accepts it all. Their friendly staff will meet you at the door to accept any items you have for donation.

6. Three Tails ReSale

Three Tails is a Greater Human Society store that accepts clothing and household items, all of their proceeds go towards benifiting animals.

7. Habitat ReStore

Habitat Restore uses donations to resell items, and the proceeds go towards helping local families achieve homeownership. This donation center accepts a variety of household items. So if you’re ready for an upgrade or have gently used items to pass down, this is the site for you.
