Thursday night, the Von Braun Center is the place to be for the Presbyterian Home for Children’s Sweet Home Soirée fundraiser! The event will include live music, a silent and live auction and a delicious dinner.

The Presbyterian Home for Children’s Sweet Home Soirée is one of the organization’s largest fundraising events of the year.
This year’s event will honor the Presbyterian Woman of North Alabama. Presbyterian women from across Alabama came together to raise the funds needed to form the Presbyterian Home for Children 155 years ago. They have given unwavering support for the Home to provide a place of healing and a path of hope.
So, here’s more info on the event:
- The event is May 11 at the Von Braun Center, and begins at 5:30PM.
- Auction items include a trip to Myrtle Beach, tickets to a MIssissippi State football game, a stay at the Farmhouse Sanctuary Bed & Breakfast and some incredible artwork, among other items.
- Live music will be performed by saxophone player Jerry Robbins.

What is the Presbyterian Home for Children?
The Presbyterian Home for Children, located in Talladega, cares for teenage girls who have experienced abuse and/or neglect, and boys and girls of all ages and their female caregivers who find themselves homeless because of poverty, abuse or abandonment.
The Home provides a faith-based safe haven through programs that nurture, educate, and equip children with the necessary tools to transition into adulthood.
The Home is accredited by Social Current, the leading accrediting organization for social services in the U.S. and Canada; and EAGLE, the world’s only faith-based accrediting body for ministry to children.
