I read recently that the best tacos in Huntsville are the ones closest when the craving strikes, and there’s a good amount of truth to that. Turns out we are spoiled for choice among dozens of places with loyal followings.

Since no two tacos are truly the same, we gathered up all the options we could find with 4 or greater Google review ratings, then mapped and grouped them by parts of town. You’ll get a bit of insight into what you’ll find at each place with some pro taco tips from our team.

Bookmark this guide to keep it handy to find the closest taco fix whenever you hear their siren call, no matter where you may happen to be in the Rocket City.

Condado Tacos

Elizabeth and Mallory from our team both gave nods to Condado Tacos, which opened in December 2023. Here’s what they had to say:

“I love the taco boxes from Condado Tacos. You can get single tacos, or I easily order online and get the Bud Box, which comes with two tacos, queso and chips for $13.95. Some of their tacos have the double soft and hard shell, which I always love. I always get them to-go for a picnic at Big Spring Park.”
Elizabeth Hobbs, Senior Content Producer, Hville Blast

“Condado Tacos is a yummy spot for tacos. They make all kinds of funky taco concoctions! My fav is their Blue Dream taco which is flour soft and kewl ranch shells with queso, Tex-Mex ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes and avocado ranch sauce.”
Mallory Kimbrell, Content Producer, Hville Blast
