Come fly with me 🪁
There’s a certain childlike happiness that comes with letting a kite soar in the wind. When March comes around every year, the Community Kite Festival takes place to recreate that joy.
The fun-filled event is organized by The City of Huntsville and the AshaKiran Foundation, whose vision is to brighten the path and lighten the load of Huntsville community members searching for hope.
The Community Kite Festival is organized to foster inclusiveness and harmony. It’s the perfect event to come together with your neighbors and at the same time, increase awareness of social issues in the community.
Soaring for social justice
The 10th annual Community Kite Festival is themed “soaring for social justice”.
Not only does the community come together for kite-flying fun, but to spread awareness, education and initiatives about concerns like poverty, abuse and discrimination in the community.
The festival will have food trucks, live entertainment, kid’s activities, kite demonstrations and much more.
