Who doesn’t love a food festival? Well, you’ll find plenty to love about the inaugural Taste of Madison festival hosted by the Rocket City Trash Pandas at Toyota Field on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
If hanging out at Toyota Field sampling delicious food from 20+ Madison restaurants isn’t awesome enough, the event is raising money to fund the Miracle League of Madison, part of a national foundation committed to making the game of baseball more accessible to children and adults with special needs.
That means eating fabulous food is combined with bringing baseball to more people—all in one event!

Some of the best restaurants in Madison will convene at Toyota Field to give out samples from their menus (included in the cost of your ticket), offering a variety of signature dishes and local favorites.
Doors will open at 6PM, and the event lasts until 9PM. Participating restaurants include:

How you can help bring the Miracle League to Madison
The Taste of Madison food festival is raising money to build a baseball field for the Miracle League of Madison. So, what is the Miracle League?
The first Miracle League field opened in Conyers, Georgia, in April 2000. The concept was a success, and by 2002, fields opened in South Carolina, Alabama, West Virginia, Illinois and California.
Today, more than 350 Miracle League Organizations operate across the country including Puerto Rico and Canada, while serving 450,000+ children and adults.
Currently, 19 Miracle Leagues are in operation throughout Alabama.
What makes the Miracle League unique is that the fields are built to accommodate special needs and make baseball accessible to kids of all abilities.
The field is designed with a flat, cushioned rubberized turf surface that removes mobility barriers for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities.
For instance:
- The rubberized turf helps prevent injuries + makes movement easy for players.
- Bases + pitching mounds are painted directly onto the turf, so there are no raised dirt mounds or lips to trip over.
- Dugouts are enlarged + fully accessible so that walkers, crutches + wheelchairs roll smoothly across the entire layout.
- The fields are completely fenced-in to provide a secure environment for all participants.
Also, to help the athletes, the Miracle League uses a “buddy” system by pairing each player with an able-bodied peer.
In November 2022, the Miracle League of Madison became one of the newest members of The Miracle League. Since then, the citizen-led committee has been working behind the scenes to construct renderings, formulate cost estimates and other project planning essentials.
