Mayhem in the streets.
Many of the roads surrounding Big Spring Park are closed for the Huntsville Heart Walk at the beginning of may, and I was able to get this awesome picture of Huntsville Havoc mascot Mayhem playing in the middle of the road as people walk by. (Christian Stanfield / Hville Blast)

The Huntsville Blast team is full of some amazingly talented and creative people who are always snapping pictures around town.

Here are some of our personal favorites and the best photos we took in May:

This photo is from The Greene Street Market which reoccurs every Thursday afternoon from May until October. (McCarley Northway / Hville Blast)

McCarley: I love an afternoon farmers market stroll and seeing all the local businesses and their unique products. You can find tons of fresh fruit, vegetables, homemade jams and jellies, and live music.

This is from Ditto Landing at sunset. (McCarley Northway / Hville Blast)

McCarley: I grew up near south Huntsville so Ditto has always been my go-to for watching sunsets or enjoying a short bike ride. If you’ve never been to Ditto, you need to check it out!

Lacey Muenstermann’s favorite photos:

Delectable treats from Le Macaron. (Lacey Muenstermann / Hville Blast)

Lacey: Apart from the deliciousness of the pastries, I love the imperfect symmetry of the image.

Lacey: I love capturing moments in time, like the glee on Olivia’s face as she’s about to engage in her favorite sport.

Christian Stanfield’s favorite photos:

Last weekend was the Hot Air Balloon Jubilee Festival in Decatur. (Christian Stanfield / Hville Blast)

Christian: Hoping to use the balloons as a backdrop for some awesome wedding pictures was a couple that I captured walking across the field after the morning balloon launches were canceled. I really hope they were able to get some good shots despite only a couple of balloons having been inflated.

Earlier this month we saw a line of powerful storms and tornadoes that damaged parts of 5 points. (Christian Stanfield / Hville Blast)

Christian: Amongst the damages were a large amount of fallen trees, broken headstones and debris throughout Maple Hill Cemetery. This picture was taken amid their cleanup efforts and shows the base of an uprooted tree that fell on a grouping of stones.
