Here at Hville Blast, we may have a small staff, but we have big (and varying) appetites. So when we try to narrow down the best stuff we ate in a particular month, it’s quite a task. But, we try…

Here are the best things we ate in May in and around Huntsville:

1. Green Bean Burrito from Bandito Burrito

The green bean burrito from Bandito Burrito is one of the best things we ate in May. I can confirm. (Michael Seale/Hville Blast)

“This is kind of my go-to at Bandito, even though I could seriously eat everything they have on their menu. Beans, cheese and salsa verde make for a fabulous burrito. And the rice and beans on the side are fantastic as well.”

2. Peach on the Beach shake from Chillabay

“The peach ice cream and Sprite combination makes for a sweet and creamy flavor with a fun, bubbly punch!”

3. Tilapia with Mango Salsa from Main Street Cafe

“This was a fresh take on a comforting Southern meal. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the mango salsa on top was a burst of flavor. To me, the most important part of a meal is the sides, and these did not disappoint.”

4. Battleship Curry from Phat Sammy’s

“Spicy, flavorful and complex—all of these things come to mind when I think about the delicious curry from Phat Sammy’s.”
