‘2025 Farmers’ Almanac’ predicts steamy summer for Alabama
Reading time: 3 minutes

Last year, we experienced one of the hottest summers on record. According to the “2025 Farmers’ Almanac,” this summer could be even hotter.
While some regions of the country may only see slight increases in temperatures this summer, the Almanac predicts significantly warmer conditions in the Deep South and Desert Southwest regions.
Prepare for a blazing hot summer in Alabama

The almanac predicts a gradual increase in average temperatures from June to July, with possible record-breaking heat by August.
“June temperatures will be near normal in most regions (though not all), meaning the summer heat won’t surge too quickly. However, July and August will bring above-normal temperatures across most regions, with only a few exceptions.”

Unfortunately for those of us in the Deep South region, we are not one of the “few exceptions.” Look for August to be especially steamy, with the chance for record highs.
Last year, the almanac predicted one of the hottest summers in recorded history, and that was spot on. Alabama experienced multiple days of triple-digit temperatures last summer.
