What to know about The Park at Hays Farm

The Park at Hays Farm

The Park at Hays Farm is Huntsville’s newest greenspace, a $7.1 million project designed to be South Huntsville’s version of Big Spring Park.

The Huntsville City Council in 2020 committed $3.6 million to develop the park, and the Hays family agreed to donate the 9-acre parcel of land for the public green space project to the City, valued at $3 million.

The park is located at 801 Haysland Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35803 and includes:

  • A gazebo, windmill, lagoon and waterfall, pavilion and restrooms
  • One-acre lake and a waterfall feature
  • A fitness court in conjunction with Arts Huntsville (with original art from Huntsville artist Corinna Nicole)
  • Walking paths and connectivity to the city’s greenway network
  • Ample parking and LED lighting

“This park will be versatile enough to be a buzzing hub of activity for friends and families while also providing quiet areas away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s something that everyone will be able to enjoy.”

Mayor Tommy Battle
