The stunning new Providence Bar (Elizabeth Hobbs / Hville Blast)

Last night, we received a warm welcome as one of the first lucky guests to try the newest bar to Village of Providence, aptly named “The Providence Bar.”

We teased the opening yesterday in our openings guide, and the doors are now officially open. Keep reading to take a look inside and check out the delicious menu items we tried. Plus, learn about its neighboring cafe, Loona’s, coming soon.

The opening comes just in time for the 4th of July celebration in The Village of Providence, and their doors will be open and ready to serve you cocktails, pizza and more.

  • Fireworks are from 6-9PM, so we suggest getting there early to get a seat or stopping by after the show.

When you arrive, a friendly host will seat you at the elevated bar, comfy booths or outdoor patio. The intimate, cozy yet refined vibe is accented with rich tones of blue and the sleek bar design. I especially loved the mirrored lighting features and gallery wall.

I had a series of firsts last night, including my first taste of caviar and my first cocktail with a jalapeno. We asked our waitress for her top menu recs and she delivered with a table of refreshing and flavorful shareables and drinks.

Everything we tried on the menu:

  • “Swipe Right”: strawberry Mescal margarita with fresh jalapeno + a hint of Aperol
  • “Grey Gentleman”: twist on an Old-Fashioned with Earl Grey infused Forester, turbinado syrup + bitters
  • Smoked Salmon + Caviar Pizza: smoked salmon, dill crema, red onion + caviar
  • Watermelon Burrata Salad: watermelon, arugula, balsamic glaze + fresh burrata
  • Charcuterie: candied pistachios, green olives, Muenster cheese, Mortadella rose + berries

I was pleasantly surprised by my “Swipe Right” mocktail that had a hint of spice and a crisp freshness from the garnishes.

Providence Bar’s in-house sommelier also delivers a divine wine list.

The Providence Bar is one of three recent openings from local owner Ryan Colvin. Just next door, the Providence Bar connects to Huntsville’s first Australian cafe, Loona’s.

We took a sneak peek in the window of Loona’s to check out the rattan chairs, sand-colored interiors and iconic Australian Shepherd logo. Ryan teased that the opening is coming soon, and expects the doors to be open in by the end of July.

Loona’s will feature coffee, mimosas, brunch cocktails and bites for breakfast, lunch and brunch. We can only expect its menu to be just as photo-worthy and delicious.

Fun fact: The owner of these two spots also owns Whit’s Custard that opened in March!
