There’s nothing I love more than waking up on a Saturday morning and getting a breakfast sandwich from a local restaurant. Starting off my day with a hearty + filling combo of bacon, egg + cheese is a highlight of my week.
Now where to go… that’s the question. With so many amazing choices in town, I’ve managed to narrow it down to my favorite five.
Keep reading to see what these five are, and why they are worthy of praise.

The Q-Becco @ Canadian Bakin
🥪 Bacon, egg, cheddar + caramelized onion on any bagel (our pick: the Slow Burn)

Canadian Bakin has long been one of our team’s favorite spots, and for good reason. They’ve been located on Church Street for a number of years, and it’s rare to see a morning without a line out the door, all clamoring for baked goods.
The Q-becco is a delicious, savory + filling sandwich on a bagel that will make you feel straight out of NYC—the caramelized onions are the cherry on top (literally)!
Just a warning: once you try Canadian Bakin, you will never go back.

BEC @ Gold Sprint
🥪 Applewood-smoked bacon, eggs, + sharp cheddar on a buttery croissant

We had to include the best coffee shop on 9th Avenue.
Conveniently located right next to our Lowe Mill office, Gold Sprint sees a lot of us every week. One of our favorites for a quick + yummy breakfast is the BEC: a tempting + modern take on the classic bacon, egg + cheese, all settled on a toasted croissant.
If I had stats for how many of these I’ve had in my life, I’d probably be in the triple digits.

Breakfast Sandwich @ Honest Coffee
🥪 Hickory-smoked bacon, eggs, sharp cheddar + spicy mayo on toasted sourdough
Honest Coffee is one of my favorite spots in Downtown Huntsville for a good + satisfying breakfast.
From acai bowls to waffles to breakfast sandwiches, there is something for everyone—and the Breakfast Sandwich is for me. The house-made sourdough bread and spicy mayo (my favorite sauce ever) add a healthy kick to my morning and energize me for a full day of activity.
This sandwich is perfect for anyone who wants to infuse a little southwest flair into their morning.

Egg Breakfast Sandwich @ The Moon Bakeshop
🥪 Bacon jam, egg souffle, dijonaise + colby jack on house focaccia

One frigid morning 2 winters ago, I stumbled into The Moon Bakeshop and grabbed a breakfast sandwich to serve a respite from the cold. What happened after that was unexpected.
A decadent combination of bacon jam, colby jack + dijonaise—what most people would never think to put on a breakfast sandwich is done excellently by The Moon, and has turned me into a lifetime fan.
Not a week goes by where I don’t think about this sandwich.

Breakfast Panini @ Good Company Cafe

🥪 Bacon, fried eggs, pesto, feta, + roasted tomato on focaccia
Good Company is a South Parkway gem always bustling with activity.
This charming brunch spot is a go-to when I have visitors in town as I am quite confident Good Company can win anyone over with their creative lattes and carefully crafted dishes. The standout in question at Good Company is the Breakfast Panini, an Italian-inspired focaccia sandwich with pesto, feta + roasted tomato.
Let’s just say when I get this, there are absolutely zero leftovers despite its ample size—it’s just that good.
