Rivers Grayson, talented musician and Muscle Shoals native, continues to grow his musical career as he returns to Florence this June to perform at Ernest Barber.
Grayson graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in English from Athens State University, where he was first introduced to the artistry of songwriting. Read on to learn more about Grayson’s tenure on the popular reality competition television series, The Voice, and where you can catch him performing next.
Grayson joined The Voice‘s “Team Legend” in March
Grayson joined famous singer-songwriter and The Voice coach John Legend‘s team during the 25th season of the show, which aired earlier this year. He found success in the blind audition with his cover of David Gary’s “Babylon,” which Legend himself noted as “beautiful, precise and tasteful.”
During the battle rounds on The Voice, Grayson faced off against his fellow teammate Mafe as they sang a duet of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend.” Although Grayson did not advance past the battle rounds, he has continued to perform and work on his own music.

Grayson will be performing alongside fellow artists Caleb Elliott, Kassidy McCorkle and Morgan Villegas at Ernest Barber in Florence, Alabama on June 15. Be sure to stop by, show your support for your fellow Alabama native and listen to some great music.
