About Tollgate Greenway

Beginning at the Land Trust’s Bankhead Trailhead and connecting with the closed section of Bankhead Parkway, the greenway provides pedestrians and cyclists with a safe and scenic route along the western slope of the mountain.
Also, it provides access to nature for people with limited mobility who cannot utilize the natural trails.
The City of Huntsville pledged $500,000 toward the project, while the remaining $500,000 was raised from private donors.
