Toyota factory to increase production bringing in 350 new jobs

The Toyota engine factory in Huntsville has just announced that it will be expanding its production capabilities which will add 350 jobs to its plant with the addition of new lines for drivetrain products.
According to Mac McCutcheon, Chairman of the Madison County Commission, this line expansion will have a hugely beneficial impact on Huntsville’s economy.
Why this Toyota factory matters
This new expansion entails a $282 million investment, with the total investment in the facility growing to around $1.7 billion.
This Toyota factory started production back in 2003 and is now Toyota’s largest engine manufacturing plant in North America. At the end of 2023, their output exceeded 770,000 engines while employing over 2,000 people.
