TVA awards robotics grants to multiple local schools + organizations

The Tennessee Valley Authority recently awarded more than $50,000 in grants to schools and organizations throughout North Alabama for robotics programs, with several of those schools in the Huntsville area.

Schools and nonprofit organizations receiving these grants are located in Madison, Limestone, Lawrence, Lauderdale, Colbert, Marshall and Morgan counties.
Here’s the breakdown of awards in the Huntsville area:
Madison County
- Mae Jemison High School First Robotics ($2,500)
- Say Watt Robotics ($2,500)
Limestone County
- Athens Renaissance School ($2,500)
- Sage Education Foundation ($2,500)
- Blue Springs Elementary School ($5,000)
Morgan County
- Hartselle Junior High School ($2,500)
- Hartselle Intermediate School ($2,500)
- Hartselle High School ($2,500)
Marshall County
- Arab Junior High School ($2,500)
