The name was changed to reflect the wider array of fields being taught at the school. These programs include applied behavior analysis; sport and fitness management; and child, family and community development.
“This new name reflects the full scope of who we are today. Over the past 11 years, we’ve grown from offering just two undergraduate degrees to a broad range of academic programs, including sport & fitness management and child, family and community development.”
Dr. Beth Quick, UAH College of Education, Sport and Human Sciences
The college’s graduate programs have also expanded. UAH now offers advanced degrees in applied behavior analysis and instructional leadership.
Quick said these additions underscore the college’s commitment to preparing students for impactful careers that support education, wellness and community development.
