Reading time: 2 minutes

The University of North Alabama recently celebrated the topping out of its new multi-purpose facility, Bank Independent Stadium. This marks another key milestone for Bank Independent Stadium and Bobby Wallace Field, set to open in 2026.
The topping out ceremony celebrates the final beam placed atop a construction site.
What to look forward to with Bank Independent Stadium

The new stadium is set to cost around $65 million when all is said and done. The goal is to complete the stadium for the 2026 football season.
The main perk of the stadium, which has been a issue with students for decades, is that it is located right on campus, unlike Braly Stadium, which is just off campus.
Bank Independent Stadium is set to include:
- Turf field
- Track
- 10,000 fan capacity
- Suites + stadium club
Football, baseball, and soccer are expected to play inside the multi-purpose stadium, along with other events like concerts and conventions.
