Decatur Police Department receives federal grant worth $325,000

The Decatur City Council has accepted a $325,000 federal grant which will purchase a mobile command vehicle (MCV) for the Decatur Police Department. MCVs are essentially portable headquarters that allow for increased coordination and communication while on the move.

The grant was secured through U.S. Senator Katie Britt’s office and requires no financial investment from the city.
