Good news, vegans. You’re about to have a whole host of new dishes to try soon.

The Vegan Chef Challenge, put on by Vegan Outreach, is coming to Huntsville this. Here’s everything you need to know about the exciting event.

Vegan Outreach, a nonprofit with several initiatives promoting a vegan diet, puts on Vegan Chef Challenge in many different cities in the nation. This year, the event is coming to Huntsville for the first time.

The challenge lasts for one month. During that time, a number of restaurants participate in the challenge, adding new vegan menu items developed by the chef. Rumor has it that many of those vegan dishes stick around after the challenge is over.

But it’s not just the chefs that participate in the challenge, it’s also local diners. Huntsvillians will be able to explore the fresh vegan dishes and vote on their favorites, with awards going to the winning chefs and restaurants.

When and where it’ll be in Huntsville

Can’t wait for this event? We can’t either. Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long. Huntsville’s Vegan Chef Challenge will take place during the whole month of May, and participating restaurants are still to be announced.

They’re currently looking for chefs to take on the challenge—including home chefs, pop-up vendors and food truck chefs. If you happen to be that one, you can find the signup link here.
