Veterans Day is Nov. 11, and in Huntsville, it’s a special day in particular, thanks to the longtime partnership between the community and ur military here in the Rocket City.

In addition to celebrations like the annual Veterans Day Parade or Veterans Day celebrations in our local schools in the Huntsville area, several businesses will offer deals for veterans and specials to celebrate the day.

Veterans Day 2022 events

Veterans Dinner

The Veterans Dinner is an annual event honoring our military, with food, music, cocktails, and the awarding of the Huntsville / Madison County Veteran of the Year and Veterans’ Organization of the Year.

The event also includes the induction of local veterans into the Huntsville / Madison County Hall of Heroes.

Veterans Day 2022 Breakfast

The Veterans Day Breakfast includes a breakfast buffet and recognition of Blue Star families, Gold Star families and visiting Wounded Veterans.

Huntsville Veterans Day 2022 Parade

The Veteran Day Parade is always a special event in the Rocket City, especially with the Department of Defense presence here in the city and Redstone Arsenal’s vital contribution to our country.

Starbucks

Take a trip to Starbucks for a special freebie. On Friday, November 11, all stores are giving away free tall (12 oz) brewed coffees to active and retired members of the military and their spouses.
