Veterans Day 2023 special events in + around Huntsville

The city of Huntsville and its community of veterans have had a long-standing relationship, making every November 11 an extra special day of celebration. You may have heard of the Rocket City’s Veterans Day Parade, but did you know about the several other events held across the city?

Here is a guide to Veterans Day events in Huntsville, Madison and Decatur:

Veterans Day Program at Alabama Center for the Arts

Join Calhoun Community College at the Alabama Center for the Arts for a Veterans Day observance ceremony, featuring guest speaker Mr. Jeremy Blevins, CIS instructor and veteran.

Veterans Day Parade

If this year’s parade is anything like last year’s, you definitely won’t want to miss it. Keep an eye on the weather and dress appropriately — as of today, Saturday is projected to reach a high of 62°F and a low of 50°F.

Veterans Day at Huntsville Botanical Garden

Members of the military and their immediate families are invited to enjoy complimentary admission to the Huntsville Botanical Garden this Friday and Saturday. Simply show your military ID at the door and walk through the beautiful scenery.

Celebration of Service at Mad Malts Brewing

Visit Mad Malts Brewing after the Veterans Day parade and enjoy a free lunch, live entertainment, games and more. The brewery is both kid- and pet-friendly, so be sure to bring the entire family!

Veterans Day Appreciation Event at Redstone Harley-Davidson

All veterans, military, police officers and first responders are welcome to join Redstone Harley-Davidson for a free lunch catered by New Orleans Lunchbox. There will be free posters gifted to the first 100 guests and live music by Wayward Son.
