Ever watched the Olympics and wondered what exactly is happening during curling?
We spoke with Brice Russ, secretary of the Rocket City Curling Club, who shared how the club has grown since it was founded in 2018, what curling is, and the basics of how the sport is played. Today, the organization has 150+ members and hosts league play year-round for people looking to learn and compete in the sport.
Our intern Caroline also visited the Rocket City Curling Club to try out the sport for herself — while she wasn’t a natural, she found the Rocket City Curling Club members to be kind teachers and supportive cheerleaders.
