WalletHub says Huntsville is one of the most educated cities in the country

Most of us have seen the stats that show Huntsville has the largest concentration of engineers and PhDs in the country, so it shouldn’t surprise many people that the Rocket City was listed in a recent list of the country’s most educated cities.

According to financial wellness publication WalletHub, Huntsville is among the top 20 in its 2025 Most Educated Cities in America list.

To determine where the most educated Americans are putting their degrees to work, WalletHub compared the 150 largest metropolitan statistical areas across 11 key metrics.

The data set for this study ranges from the share of adults aged 25 and older with a bachelor’s degree or higher to the quality of the public-school system to the gender education gap.
