We’ve rounded up six places you can go see a spooky film + jump scare with everyone else in the crowd. There’s something so comforting about realizing that moment got everyone else too.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year! The Princess Theatre in Decatur will be holding two screenings of the classic film. The theatre recommends 18+ for this interactive experience.

Movies in the Park, a beloved Huntsville tradition, boasts free screenings of family-friendly films each October. Starting the party with live music and vendors, the park will transition into a large screening area as soon as the sun sets. The schedule of movies is:

  • October 10: Soul
  • October 17: The Addams Family
  • October 24: Wicked

The Independent Cinema is hosting two film screenings this month at Mad Malts Brewing. The first is Perdita Durango, a “cult crime-horror hybrid” Spanish film. The second is a cult classic horror film from the 1980’s: Demons. Both films are sure to have you on the edge of your seat.
