Tulip season is short-lived, so you won’t want to miss these beautiful flowers while in bloom.

A short trip from Huntsville is a family-owned tulip farm in New Hope.

Hubert Familly Farms is open daily from 9 AM-7 PM, but tulip season doesn’t last forever.

At the farm, you’ll find row after row of beautiful tulips in every color you could want. A ticket to the farm is only $10 (kids 2 and under get in free), and tulips are $2.50 each or 12 for $25.

There’s a lot more to do than picking tulips, a ticket to the farm also gets you access to other events and activities like hot air balloon rides, a tulip trolley, live entertainment, food trucks, petting zoos and even visits by the easter bunny + Anna and Elsa.

You can find a full event schedule on their website or social media.

Come prepared

Gardening equipment isn’t allowed and the farm will provide you with a basket while you’re picking, but there are still a couple of things that might be good to bring.

  • It’s starting to get warm and sunny here in the Tennessee Valley, so you might need to add sunscreen to your shopping list pretty soon.
  • It’s also pollen season, so be sure to take your allergy meds before heading out to the farm.
  • The farm recommends putting your tulips in water within an hour of picking them, so if you’re planning on travelling from more than an hour away bring a vase or bucket of water to keep your tulips fresh.
