10 new building permits issued for large Huntsville-area construction projects

Of the 16 new building permits issued for construction projects exceeding $1 million in Alabama this week, 10 of those permits are for projects located in and around Huntsville.
The largest of those permits is for a new hotel project on Holmes Avenue, and four of them are for an apartment project in Athens. Read more for additional details on these projects:
Everhome Suites in Huntsville
The priciest project of those issued new building permits this week is a new Everhome Suites hotel located on a corner lot at Holmes Avenue and Sanderson St. Here are some more details:

- 4-story 98-unit hotel 51,930 square feet
- Expected completion: June 2024
- Project cost: $8.9 million
