10 new business openings around Huntsville that you need to know about

After an icy week, new businesses are ready to open. This week, check out an exciting combination of openings and announcements that include new restaurants, wellness spots and banks.

1. Walk On’s

Co-owned by NFL legend Drew Brees, Walk On’s will open their first location in North Alabama at Clift Farm on Mon., Feb. 5.

Self described as a sports bistreaux, their menu includes made from scratch dishes, craft beer and delicious cocktails.

2. Capriotti’s

This locally owned franchise has won international awards for their sandwiches.

Their first Alabama location will open at Clift Farm, and they’re shooting for a mid-March opening according to their Facebook.

3. Chase Bank at Clift Farm

While its counterpart on University Dr. opened in December, the second Chase bank coming to Madison County opened last week.

4. Kolache Factory at The Foundry

Texans can celebrate! The Katy-based Kolache Factory will open its first location in Alabama sometime late this summer/early fall.

The bakery/café will be operated by retired U.S. Army Major Aaron Hall.

5. Starbucks in Athens

This 2,500 square foot Starbucks adds to the coffee chain’s growing list of locations around the Rocket City.

6. First Watch

This popular brunch restaurant already has a location at Clift Farm, and its second will open soon on the corner of Airport Rd. and Whitesburg Dr.

7. Squeeze Massage Bar

From the creators of Dry Bar, Squeeze Massage opened its doors Fri., Jan. 26. This location has nine massage suites for all your relaxation kneads (see what I did there?).

8. Stir’s Cereal Bar

The Utah-based Stir’s Cereal will open its first Alabama location at the end of February.

This unique breakfast wonderland hopes to inspire adults through a nostalgic love of cereal.

9. Holistic Wellness Collective

This holistic, healing center for women will host its open house on Friday to celebrate its new Huntsville location.

10. Oscar’s Taco Shop in Athens

This Tennessee favorite announced an Athens location last March, and the wait is finally over. Oscar’s Taco shop will open in Athens the first week of February.
