What: Both the Phaze 3 Fitness locations in Huntsville and in Madison were acquired by Onelife Fitness on September 1. According to the company, membership rates are remaining unchanged and they are retaining 100% of the staff

[💔CLOSING] Dreamland BBQ

Dreamland BBQ has now permanently closed its location on University drive, which it had been operating since 2003. Customers loved this restaurant for its hickory-smoked meats and banana pudding.

[💔CLOSING] Fizzy Flapper

Last week, we covered how Fizzy Flapper was moving into a new brick and mortar location in Arab, but announced that the Lowe Mill location would stay open with reduced hours. Unfortunately, the Lowe Mill location is now permanently closed while they put all efforts into the new location.

[💔CLOSING] Aquadome

Aquadome pool and water — Have you ever swam in the Aquadome? (Decatur Parks & Recreation)

Decatur’s Aquadome had its last day of operation on September 13 after nearly 60 years of hosting swimming, fitness and community gatherings. This historic site was closed to make way for the new recreation center, which is opening September 21.
