Hey folks it’s weekend time again, and this weekend is full of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, as we previously reported. We hope you find a St. Paddy’s event that suits your fancy, but if you are looking for something to do other than that, there’s plenty to get into in and around Huntsville.

Live Music

There’s a wide array of live music to catch in Huntsville this weekend, with varying genres. Here are a few live shows in the Rocket City:

• Carter G + Friends: March 17, Mad Malts, 7:30PM. Enjoy a night of great music and delicious brews Friday night!
• Skid Row + Buckcherry: March 18, Mars Music Hall, 7:30PM. Catch a couple of rock and roll legends live at Mars Music Hall!
• Shane Davis: March 18, Stovehouse, 6:30PM. This Huntsville-based singer/songwriter has played all over the country. Check him out solo at Stovehouse.
• Stolen Faces: March 18, Furniture Factory, 8PM. Groove to the music of the Grateful Dead, performed by this uber talented group of musicians.
• Brunch & Blues with Microwave Dave: March 19, Humphrey’s Bar & Grill, 11AM. Sip on a Bloody Mary and enjoy brunch and fabulous music by the legendary Microwave Dave.

One of the biggest arts and crafts festivals in the state is happening this weekend, and that’s not the only cool event goping on at the Von Braun Center! Check out these events around town in Huntsville this weekend:

• NEACA’s 2023 Spring Craft Show: March 17-19, Von Braun Center South Hall, 9AM – 6PM. There will be over 100 crafters with items ranging from jewelry, pottery, home decor, outdoor decor, dolls, clothing, kitchen accessories, childrens items, food and much more!
• Theatre Huntsville presents “Stickfly”: March 17-19, VBC Playhouse, 7:30PM. As the two newcomers butt heads over issues of race and privilege, long-standing family tensions bubble under the surface and reach a boiling point when secrets are revealed in this award-winning play.
• Music/Art/Fashion at Lowe Mill: March 18, Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, 2PM. Experience and immerse yourself in the phenomenal display of art, live music entertainment, and the art of fashion at the historic Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment.
• Anjelah Johnson-Reyes: March 18, Stand-up Live, 6:30PM. Catch the hilarious stand-up comedy of Anjelah Johnson-Reyes of MADtv fame.
• Market at MidCity: March 19, The Camp, 12PM – 4PM. Local vendors are around to sell their goods, and live music + food trucks are there to keep you entertained and fed!

• Monster Jam: March 19, Propst Arena, 1PM. Experience adrenaline-charged fun for everyone. You’ll be on the edge of your seat watching legendary monster trucks in person!
• Kids’ Fishing Weekend: March 18, Cabela’s, 4PM. Cabela’s will have outfitters that are excited to help teach tips and tricks to anyone interested in fishing!
