15 exciting weekend events in the Rocket City you should check out

The final weekend of October is here, and while Halloween is not until next week, there are plenty of Halloween-related events happening in and around Huntsville this weekend.

But the weekend events here in the Rocket City aren’t limited to just spooky season celebrations. We have plenty of cool stuff happening all over town:

1. Gas Light Alley Spooky Shop + Stroll 

Get a head start on your holiday shopping with a chilling Halloween twist at the Gas Light Alley Spooky Shop & Stroll this Friday located at Stovehouse.

2. Theatre Randolph presents ‘Clue’

Come see Theatre Randolph’s production of Clue, a classic whodunit mystery game, at the Thurber Arts Center.

3. Huntsville Ballet Unplugged

Huntsville Ballet opens the new season with The Four Seasons choreographed by Phillip Otto with live accompaniment by members of the Huntsville Ballet orchestra.

4. Huntsville Havoc hockey

The wait is over! The Huntsville Havoc are back for their new season, with their home opener taking place Friday night against Pensacola.

5. Boos and Beats

Get ready for a spine-tingling night of fun at BOOs and Beats, the ultimate adults-only Halloween party at Huntsville Botanical Garden. It’s a night of costumes, cocktails, and crazy beats you won’t want to miss.

6. Southeastern Nationals Car Show

The AACA, fondly referred to as “America’s Car Club,” is a club that celebrates all vehicles 25 years and older and brings like-minded car enthusiasts together for a fun and exciting experience.

7. Downtown Pickleball Takeover

Pickleball enthusiasts (and b beginners) won’t want to miss this. Come downtown, where there will be pop-up pickleball courts, free instruction and more.

8. 19th Annual Rocket City Short Film Festival

Join the Huntsville film community for a day of short films, writing workshops, film-making panels and networking meetups.

9. Halloween Wines & Brunch

We realize that several of our weekend events we are featuring are Halloween-themed, but this one is definitely a unique one. Indulge in a delightful wine tasting plus add on whimsical Halloween-inspired brunch board that’s sure to tickle your taste buds.

10. Fall Festival Movie Night at Toyota Field 

As we said, many of the weekend events are Halloween related, and this one is no exception. Enjoy trick-or-treating at Toyota Field before a showing of “Casper the Friendly Ghost.”

11. Downtown Night Market 

Enjoy local artists, makers, food trucks, crafts, and more in Color Walk Alley and Washington Park, right behind Downtown Storage off of Clinton Avenue.

12. Lowe Mill Fright Night Halloween Dance Party

World Conspiracy and Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment Center come together to bring you their annual Halloween Spooktacular Party! Step into a world of madness as they transform the mill connector space with crazy decor that will leave you in awe.

13. Glow Party at The Camp

This is a fabulous night of spooky fun and great music. The party starts with Devv & The Rejuvenation kicking it off on stage, followed by a stellar performance by Quantaphonics

14. Halloween + Haunted House at the Orion

Join the Huntsville Police Department and Huntsville Parks and Recreation for our annual Halloween Party at the Orion Amphitheater.

15. Alton Walker

Alton Walker is a versatile comedian, speaker, and social media influencer, renowned for his side-splitting content that has gone viral.
