15 reasons to get out and about in Huntsville this weekend

We have plenty of cool events this weekend to tell you about, although we also realize that some of these events could be moved or cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather.

Nonetheless, here are our suggestions for what to do in the Rocket City this weekend:

1. Brother Cane Unplugged @ Rocket City Honky Tonk
- What: Alabama natives, chart toppers and 90s musical mainstays Brother Cane hit the new Rocket City Honky Tonk for a night of acoustic favorites.

2. Jim Parker’s Songwriters Series @ VBC Playhouse
- What: Jim is the creator and host of a popular series at the Von Braun Center Playhouse where he showcases the incredible talent of his hit songwriter friends. This show features Jimmy Gilmer and John Anderson.

3. The Ladies Of… @ St. Stephens Music Hall

- What: The Secret Sisters, consisting of siblings Laura and Lydia Rogers, will be performing at The Princess Theatre in Decatur Saturday night.

6. Conference USA Basketball Tournament @ Propst Arena
- What: The men’s and women’s basketball tournaments for Conference USA will wrap up this weekend, with the semifinals on Friday and the finals on Saturday at Propst Arena.

7. UAH Baseball vs. West Florida @ Toyota Field
- What: UAH will take on West Florida at Toyota Field Friday and Saturday, with a doubleheader set for Friday and a third game on Saturday (weather permitting).

8. TAC Autocross Championship Series @ Milton Frank Stadium
