Mooresville’s 1818 Farms is owned and operated by Natasha McCrary and her family. The McCrary’s broke ground in 2012 and began their family farm, which is home to various animals and over 15,000 flowers.

The prestigious Good Housekeeping’s 2023 Beauty Award winners include 1818’s award for “Best Body Butter” for their coveted Shea Creme. The cream is applauded for its lightweight, “whipped” texture and moisturizing properties.

A team of scientists at the Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab tested the product, using rigorous testing protocols and advanced equipment including the Corneometer device, for measuring skin moisture levels; the Visia Complexion Analyzer, for tracking changes in the skin including wrinkles and hyperpigmentation; and the Cutometer, for gauging skin firmness.

The institute’s advanced testing labs, techniques and equipment reveal the best-performing skincare products on the market, as proven by science. Testers describe the Shea Creme as “excellent to soften the driest patches of skin like knuckles, elbows and cuticles.”

“I am so excited that our Shea Creme received the Good Housekeeping’s Beauty Award for 2023. Good Housekeeping does a thorough job informing the public of the best products. I have trusted them for years. To now have a product that they are recommending is such a wonderful honor. Our loyal customers know that our Shea Creme is such a great product and it is nice to see it nationally recognized.”
