2 new FEMA shelters in the works for Limestone County

Limestone County could get two new Federal Emergency Management Agency-approved storm shelters this year. The Limestone County Emergency Management Agency and City of Athens have been working with FEMA on getting these shelters approved.

A report from WHNT said the LCEMA, City of Athens and Limestone County Commission have been working alongside FEMA to establish these new shelters via federal grants.

One of the shelters will reportedly be located in Athens, while the other will be in eastern Limestone County.
