Memorial Day weekend is coming up, and while it also usually coincides with the end of the school year and therefore often involves some summertime travel, let’s not forget the meaning behind the holiday.
Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while serving in our military, and there are multiple ways around town to show your support of those fallen heroes.
VFW Post 5162 Memorial Day Ceremony
The Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 51 62 will hold a memorial Ceremony laying wreaths and flowers on the graves of those who died in battle.

Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville will hold a memorial Day service honoring the military members who lost their lives defending the country.

Huntsville’s Memorial Day Ceremony
This service will provide families and friends the opportunity to honor our Veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and will feature a performance by The Huntsville Concert Band.
