1. Lovable Feline Rescue of North Alabama
Lovable Feline Rescue of North Alabama is a non-profit organization based in Huntsville that rescues cats and aims to find them loving homes. They are especially seeking assistance in taking care of their cats currently located at the PetSmart in Jones Valley.
If you’d like to assist in their mission and volunteer with them, you can let them know by messaging through their Facebook page or by emailing them.
2. CAJA of Madison County
Court Appointed Juvenile Advocates (CAJA) is a very special volunteer opportunity in which volunteers are appointed by judges as Officers of the Court. As an Officer of the Court, you will help objectively investigate child abuse and neglect cases with the ultimate goal of placing the child in a safe, forever home.
You don’t require any special education to help out — you simply need the motivation to help out children in need through one of the most unique volunteer opportunities. The average workload per case is equivalent to about 10 hours per month.
