One of the easier hiking excursions can be enjoyed at Chapman Mountain.(Land Trust of North Alabama)

Take advantage of the beautiful weekend weather by getting outside! It’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need a light jacket.

  • Blevins Gap Trailhead: catch a sunset by this classic overlook spot on the mountain. Don’t forget to bring a blanket to sit on (or cuddle up with).
    • Where: 3470 Cecil Ashburn Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35802
  • North Alabama Japanese Garden: Located inside Monte Sano, this Japanese Garden is a short trek from the parking lot and boasts an impressive Tea House.
  • Tennessee River Greenway: this paved walkway at Ditto Landing is a little under a mile and takes you from Ditto to Madison County Marina.
  • Rainbow Mountain Preserve: Head out to Madison to enjoy nine different trails without having to drive out of the city!
