Zero storage, bland design, thousands of stairs—these are undoubtedly the disadvantages of living in an apartment. Disgruntled but determined, my Pyredoodle Teddy and I weren’t convinced these sore spots were the only reality of Huntsville-area apartments.

We set out to find the most unique and cozy pet-friendly apartments around the Rocket City. Read on to learn the four ways St. Andrew’s Villas amazed us.

1. They have garages with electric car chargers

Nothing’s more disappointing than learning an apartment complex offers garage spaces just to realize that you have to pay several hundred dollars to utilize them.

At St. Andrew’s Villas, every unit boasts an attached garage with an electric car charger. It feels like you’re living in a house when you have a massive garage attached to your unit—perfect for storing those extra boxes or parking your sweet ride. Plus, Teddy told me he would love lying on the cool floor after a long walk.

2. They have full-size kitchens

So you’re moving out of your parents’ house or upgrading your place, and you’re ready to make some epic gourmet meals. However, there’s one problem—your apartment’s kitchen is tiny, offering zero counter space to prep all your favorite dishes.

Fortunately, that’s not the case at these pet-friendly apartments. St. Andrew’s offers a full-size kitchen with top-notch appliances and amazing storage, and Teddy said he wouldn’t mind sitting beside me in this beautiful space while I cook (him) tasty dinners.

3. They’re homey + cozy

When I come home after a long day, I want my place to feel cozy, relaxing and inviting. That’s exactly what St. Andrew’s Villas offer—a homey environment where you can unplug and unwind.

Many recently-constructed apartments feature washed-out or bland color palettes, so it’s refreshing to see an open, airy and warm-toned space. Teddy agrees, noting that he could easily take a thousand naps on that gorgeous rug.

4. They have large + private back patios

I love the outdoors and exploring nature, so the four walls of an apartment can become suffocating if I don’t have an outdoor escape. That’s why I love the back patio at St. Andrew’s Villas—it was private, spacious and cozy.

Teddy said I could totally put him on his stake out here and give him a chance to get some energy out. I said that’s fine as long as I get to kick my feet up, read a book and take in the private view.
