4 wine bars to check out in Huntsville

In recent weeks, two new wine bars and a vineyard have opened in the Huntsville area. So, we figured it’s the perfect time to share our favorite spots to get a tasty glass of wine.

The Providence Bar

This cozy bar opened its doors in Village of Providence on July 1.

Aptly named “The Providence Bar,” this spot offers vibrant cocktails, wines selected by an in-house sommelier, pizza and more yummy dishes. We tried the Smoked Salmon and Caviar Pizza and the Watermelon Burrata Salad, which were chef’s kiss.

The Vine & Oak

Downtown Madison recently welcomed a new wine bar, as well. The Vine & Oak held its grand opening on June 25.

This wine bar features handcrafted drinks, relaxed seating, and wine and bourbon retail. It’s the perfect spot to stock up on your favorite vino from all over the world.

Church Street Wine Shoppe

Music and wine lovers, this one’s for you. Church Street Wine Shoppe’s downtown location hosts daily wine and beer tastings, plus live music at the piano bar.

Charlie Foster’s

Located at Stovehouse, this spot offers hard-to-find wines by the glass and bottle. Pro tip: their espresso drinks are also delicious!

From Italy to Alabama, La Famiglia Vineyards & Winery opened its doors earlier this summer. This micro-farm winery is owned by husband-and-wife duo Tom and Bev, who are continuing their family legacy of winemaking that started in Northern Italy.

La Famiglia grows both native American and European grape varieties to cater to all wine enthusiasts.
