4th of July fireworks—where to watch them in Huntsville

In just a few weeks, the U.S. will celebrate the 247th anniversary of our independence, and as is the custom, folks all over the country will put together some form of fireworks display. And we love it!
So, you may be wondering where in the Rocket City you can watch some 4th of July fireworks, and we have a few suggestions, naturally. Here you go:
Independence Day Festival – Gurley
The Town of Gurley will host its own Independence Day Festival, complete with live music, food trucks, family activities and — of course — fireworks.

Trash Pandas vs. Lookouts
Not only can you head to Toyota Field July 4 to cheer on the Rocket City Trash Pandas against the Chattanooga Lookouts, but you can stay after the game for a fantastic fireworks display!

4th of July Celebration at Wheeler Lake
Set up a family picnic or get some grub from the food trucks while enjoying family fun, an outdoor movie and a dazzling fireworks display at the KOA campgrounds at Wheeler Lake.

Independence Weekend Celebration at MidCity
Since the 4th of July is on a Tuesday this year, there’s a work day in between the weekend and the holiday, so the fun folks at tghe MidCity District came up with a solution: an Independence Weekend Celebration!
This 3-day celebration includes live music each night June 30-July 2, fireworks July 1, and a watermelon carving contest July 2!

Red, White + Boom Fireworks Show – Athens
