$5.2M permit for 3M plant in Decatur among new high-dollar projects approved

This past week, 11 new building permits were issued across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Several of these permits are for projects in North Alabama, with permits issued in Huntsville, Athens, Guntersville and Decatur.

The project in Decatur involves a $5.2 million permit at the 3M plant, part of the company’s ongoing improvement’s to the plant’s safety + utility infrastructure, ventilation systems and process enhancements.

Other North Alabama permits include another $5 million permit for the Swan Creek Shopping Center in Athens and the Jetplex Industrial Park in Huntsville, among others.
