5 great Asian Markets in Huntsville you need to check out
Huntsville is one of the most diverse cities in Alabama, and (thanks to the large military and space industry presence) attracts people from all over the world.
Whether you’re looking for something that offers a selection of goods from back home or want to try something new, here are 5 local Asian markets in Huntsville:
Thanh Hung Asian Market
This store is perhaps the largest on the list and the closest option for those in Madison.
They have a wide array of goods and a great produce section.
- Where: 8760 Madison Blvd B, Madison, AL 35758
- When: Mon-Sat, 9:30 AM-8 PM | Sun 9:30 AM-7 PM
Far East Market
Far East Market has two locations, one in Huntsville and one in Madison. The owners are brothers, and though the Madison location is bigger, each location carries similar items.
- Where: 7193 Hwy 72 W, Madison, AL 35758 or 8108 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35802
- When: Mon-Sat, 9:30 AM-8 PM | Sun 9:30 AM-6 PM
Choi’s Oriental Food & Gifts
Choi’s is located next door to I Love Korea, and stands out on this list by offering a wider range of non-food related products.
- Where: 402 Jordan Ln NW, Huntsville, AL 35805
- When: Mon-Sat, 10 AM-6 PM
Indian Bazaar
Indian Bazaar, as you could probably guess by the name, sells food and goods native to India.
They have a large selection of products and a really cool walk-in vegetable fridge with a great variety of fresh vegetables that are often hard to find.
- Where: 4320 University Dr NW suite h, Huntsville, AL 35816
- When: Everyday 10 AM-8:30 PM
Asian Market
With the most straightforward name on the list, you’ll find a lot of bulk goods (like rice and peanuts) here as well as a great selection of other products.
This store is impeccably organized, more so than many large chain groceries I’ve been in.
- Where: 6125 University Dr NW C2, Huntsville, AL 35806
- When: Everyday 9:30 AM-8 PM
