If you’re anything like me, today is a day that makes you hungry.

That’s because on March 14—3.14—we celebrate Pi Day. While the so-called holiday actually refers to pi in the mathematical sense, I prefer to take a bit of a sweeter perspective. That’s why we’ve rounded up five Huntsville pi(e)s you need to try. Read all about them below.

1. The Moon Bakeshop

Have you ever seen a prettier pie? (The Moon Bakeshop on Facebook)

The Moon Bakeshop consistently has one of the most beautiful pastry cases in town. There, you’ll find expertly decorated cakes, pastries and seasonal pies. Head into the store to see what’s available fresh, or order ahead and choose from one of these delicious flavors:

  • Brownie Chess
  • Buttermilk Blueberry Chess
  • Chocolate Pecan
  • Key Lime
  • Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate
  • Salted Maple
  • Southern Pecan

My pick? I’m going with the Buttermilk Blueberry Chess. There’s nothing like a fresh berry pie when the weather starts warming up.
