Huntsville has emerged as a music hub in the state and in the region, with the addition of the Orion Amphitheater and the city’s new Music Office, so musicians who live in the Rocket City are in good shape in regard to a cultivated music scene.
So where do local musicians buy musical instruments and accessories? There are plenty of cool music shops in and around Huntsville. Check these out:
Harmony Sound
Located in Five Points, Harmony Sound has everything from new and used stringed instruments to amplifiers, tuners, percussion and more. Bill Graviett has owned the store for more than 20 years, but has also been involved in the music scene here in Huntsville for much longer. These folks will find your what you’re looking for.
Hallman’s Music Store
Hallman’s Music Store has a fabulous selection of band instruments (primarily brass and wind instruments) and accessories, and also provides lessons, repairs and instrument rentals.
T Shepard’s
If you are looking for guitars and guitar accessories, there are few better music shops in the Huntsville area than T Shepard’s Discount Music. Tommy Shepard has been serving Huntsville’s music community since 1974, and knows his stuff!
Gadsden Music Company
Located in the Whitesburg Plaza Shopping Center, Gadsden Music Company has been around since 1971. Starting in Gadsden (obviously), the business expanded to Huntsville and Birmingham.
