5 new businesses in the Rocket City you should check out

New businesses in the Rocket City are popping up all over the community so far in 2024, and we keep welcoming more to the area. From new restaurants to health care facilities to retail, more business owners are looking to call Huntsville home.
Check out these _ new businesses we’ve heard about here in the Huntsville area:
1. Kay Donuts
Kay Donuts was originally scheduled to open in the Publix shopping center on Winchester Road over the weekend, but the opening has been pushed to the end of this week.

2. Dutch Bros. Coffee
Dutch Bros. Coffee opened its first Alabama location last year in Decatur and opened its first Huntsville location Friday in Owens Cross Roads. Dutch Bros, a popular coffee chain from Oregon, plans to open more Alabama locations in the coming year.

3. Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux
We wrote about the announcement of the new Walk-Ons Sports Bistreaux location at Clift Farm last month, but the new sports bar is now open.

4. The Opus Foundation
The OPUS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and disadvantaged youth. The organization’s new facility will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Feb. 20 at 12PM.

5. Slim Chickens – Decatur
Slim Chickens is a rapidly-growing quick-service restaurant that has recently opened locations in Athens and Albertville — in addition to locations in Madison and Huntsville.
