Huntsville and space go together like peanut butter and jelly. The history and culture around space have seeped into every aspect of our city, from schools to restaurants.

Here are 5 space themed restaurants in Huntsville:

1) The Moon Bakeshop

The Moon Bakeshop serves a unique blend of Southern and European-inspired baked goods and some of the best coffee drinks in town.

Their menu changes all the time, so you’ll never know what baked goods are awaiting you on your next visit.

2) Baker and Able

Baker and Able is a high-end bar and lounge sitting atop 106 Jefferson where you’ll find more than one monkey painting.

Named after the famous monkeys sent into space by NASA (who lived out their days at the Rocket Center) this bar also reaches great heights, by which I mean they have a great view of Downtown.

We recommend trying their espresso martini, which made our list of best places to grab an espresso martini in Huntsville.

3) Wiener Von Braun

A pun on the name of Wernher von Braun, this small cart packs a big punch in their dogs.

They usually pop up at events and shows around town selling modestly priced bratwursts and pretzels.

We recommend trying the Von Brat, if not for the name alone because it’s an amazing wiener.

4) The Little Dipper Bakery and Cafe

Little Dipper is the newest spot on out list, but has quickly found it’s place here in town serving great breakfast and a wide range of desserts and baked goods.

5) Mars Grill

Last food for 36 million miles is sometimes accurate. The earth ranges from 34-250 million miles away from Mars depending on their orbits. (Christian Stanfield / Hville Blast)

This one is as close to a space themed restaurant as you can get. Literally, it’s surrounded by space artifacts and replica rockets.

Mars Grill serves up concession-style food to enjoy during a day out at the Space and Rocket Museum.

You’ll have to buy a ticket to get in, but where else can you enjoy your food surrounded by some of the greatest feats of human engineering ever made?
