Monte Sano, the “Mountain of Health,” has enchanted Huntsville residents and visitors alike for hundreds of years now. But, what’s it really like to live there?

Though it’s known for great hiking and mountain biking, Monte Sano State Park is far more than just trails.

Make use of the park’s camping options by bringing an RV, booking a campground or renting a cabin for a weekend. Or, stop in for a day trip—admission is $5 per adult and $2 for children under 12, seniors and active duty military. Yearly passes are also available for purchase.

I finally got to visit Cocktails at the View this summer, and it was a perfect way to spend Hump Day in Huntsville. Admission is free to this event at Burritt on the Mountain, and drinks and refreshments are available for purchase onsite.

Catch the event every Wednesday April-October from 5-8PM.

4. Burritt’s Oktoberfest Dinner
