Huntsville is blooming in more ways than one this spring.

New openings abound, with everything from vegan eats to loaded gyros heading our way. But, there’s also some special reopenings happening soon that you don’t want to miss. Let’s dig in!

Openings

1. Hound + Harvest

We told you about this exciting development last October, and it’s finally getting close to opening its doors. Brought to you by the founders of Hippea Camper and Northside Coffee, Hound + Harvest is going to have something for everyone—from an expansive vegan menu to options for the meat-eaters. Plus, it’ll be kid- and dog-friendly, with a beautiful patio and backyard.

2. Big Papa Gyro

Huntsville already has one Big Papa Gyro, located on University Drive. But now, they’re getting even bigger. They’re opening a new, second location in downtown Huntsville, and you won’t have to wait too long to visit.

3. City Bowls

Smoothie bowl lovers (like me), get excited. City Bowls, founded in Birmingham, is expanding again—and this time to Huntsville. We can’t wait to explore their menu of acai, pitaya and green bowls—and make our own creations with the build-your-own-bowl option (I’ll be getting all the toppings).

4. Loco Taco

Also coming to Hays Farm is a new taco spot. The owners of Rock n’ Roll Sushi are bringing this concept—fun, fast-casual Mexican fare—to life. Loco Taco will share a new building with City Bowls, as well as a new Starbucks.

  • Location: Hays Farm, behind Tom Brown’s
  • Opening Date: This year, exact date TBA

Re-openings

They’re celebrating their grand re-opening for a whole week, giving away free goodies and supporting local non-profits. You can read all about their story here.

6. Terry’s Pizza
