Bread. Tomatoes. Cheese. Pizza really is a celebration of the beauty in the simple things in life, and on National Pizza Day we celebrate that, too.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate, the good news is that Huntsville has lots of options. We rounded up seven here.

1. Big Ed’s Pizza

Big Ed’s is a Huntsville standard, a family-owned business that’s been in operation since the 60’s. It’s also probably the only spot in town where you can get a pint glass full of fried pepperoni as an appetizer.

2. Cork & Crust Pizzeria + Wine Bar

Cork and Crust on County Line Road in Madison is a go-to spot for brick-oven pizza, wine, craft beer and craft cocktails. The restaurant also has gluten-free selections available.

3. Earth and Stone

For authentic, wood-fired pizza, look no further than Earth & Stone. My menu recommendation is the Infamous Tommy G, but you really can’t go wrong with any of their selections.

4. Pane e Vino

Pane e Vino offers pizza and drinks with a view; the restaurant is situated in the bottom floor of the Huntsville Museum of Art and overlooks Big Spring International Park. After your food settles, why not take a walk around the museum or the park?

5. Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria + Gelateria

The good news about Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria + Gelateria is that they have two locations: one in downtown Huntsville, and the other in the heart of Madison. Thankfully, that means you’re never too far away from a delicious slice and a sweet scoop of gelato.

6. Terry’s Pizza

Why not both? (Terry’s Pizza on Facebook)

South Huntsville, we didn’t forget about you! With 60+ years of experience, Terry’s Pizza is sure to satisfy, whether you decide to eat in, drive thru or take and bake.

7. The Boot Pizzeria

Thank goodness it’s almost outdoor dining season again! (The Boot Pizzeria on Facebook)

Try The Boot if you’re looking for a classic Italian spot with lots of options. Pizza is their specialty, but don’t miss out on the wide selection of baked pasta, sandwiches and calzones.
