8 new million-dollar-plus construction projects approved in North Alabama

Of the 13 building permits issued across the state for projects exceeding $1 million, eight of those construction projects approved are in North Alabama.

Permits were approved for projects in Decatur, Huntsville, Boaz and Guntersville this week, and we have the info on all of them. Take a look:

United Launch Alliance—a joint venture between Lockheed Martin Space and Boeing Defense, Space & Security— is moving forward with an expansion of the company’s factory in Decatur, a project that will cost $138,096,927.

The company’s recent expansion of their Decatur factory will help fulfill the company’s deal with Amazon to built 38 rockets. Once complete, those rockets will deliver satellites for Amazon’s Project Kuiper.
