While there’s nothing wrong with a traditional Valentine’s Day dinner, you might be looking for something a bit more out-of-the-box this year.

1. Vintage Cigar Lounge Valentine’s Cocktail Class
This is a fun event that will come in handy when you want to impress your friends (or your Valentine!). Vintage Cigar Lounge in Bridge Street is hosting a Valentine’s Cocktail Class where you can learn all the basics of mixology with a hands-on experience.

2. My Bloody Valentine Masquerade Ball
Lowe Mill is the place in Huntsville of find quirky, fun events. This Valentine’s Day, they’re putting a dark twist on the sweet holiday. In the first floor connector area, there will be music, dancing and food from Happy Tummy.

3. Dangerously in Love Mystery Dinner
Looking to infuse a little mystery into Valentine’s Day this year? Head out to The Blue Melody for a night of thrilling fun and delicious food from Chef Keith. She’s putting together a menu with roasted game hens, blackened salmon and even a vegan option! To finish it off, there will be strawberry shortcake for that Valentine’s Day touch.

4. Valentine’s Day at Stella’s Elixir Lounge
Stella’s Elixir Lounge has not one, not two but three Valentine’s Day events this February. On February 1, they’ll be hosting Valentine’s Latin Night with free intro salsa dancing lessons with Baila Huntsville. On February 6, you can listen to live music reminiscent of Sinatra with a Valentine’s spin. Finally, on Valentine’s Day itself, you can get a reserved charcuterie board from Honey Box Charcuterie along with half-off wine.

5. A Hunk of Burning Love: A Valentine’s Day Elvis Tribute Show!
Straight to Ale Brewing is pulling out all the stops for their “Hunk of Burning Love” event this Valentine’s Day. They’re bringing in Ben King, a multi-award-winning Elvis tribute artist. It’s sure to be an entertaining night in the Straight to Ale speakeasy.

6. Twisted Tree Valentine’s Scavenger Hunt

7. Valentine’s Couples Cooking Class
If you know Karlene Nazario, you know that a cooking class with her would be a ton of fun. She’s the owner of Havana Bama, a local small business serving up authentic Cuban pastelitos and more. Karlene will be spending this fun evening alongside couples, guiding them through the process of making traditional Cuban empanadas. Then, couples will dine on Karlene’s delicious cuisine as she tells stories and demos the dishes.

8. Valentine’s Party at Fractal Brewing

9. CREATE Saturdays: Abstract Valentine’s
This one’s for the whole family. The Huntsville Museum of Art is hosting a series of events called CREATE Saturdays, and they’re having a special event for Valentine’s Day. Families will get to be creative with their abstract heart art at this free workshop for parents/guardians and children.
